4 Maoists killed in Chhattisgarh

Four Maoists were killed in an encounter in Dhanora taluka of the Maoist-sensitive district, on Sunday.

According to Special IG (anti-Maoist unit) Pankaj Gupta, the encounter took place around 4 pm between Jharapapda and Botebhur villages in Pendri police station area, close to the Chhattisgarh border.

The CPI(Maoist) had given a call for Gadchiroli bandh on Sunday to protest the killing of one of their top leaders Vikas Anna. The Maoist commander was killed in an encounter in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh recently.
