HYDERABAD: Maoists have vowed to avenge the killing of Sudershan, secretary of the Nallamala Forest Division, alleging that he was caught in Bangalore on Thursday and shot dead in cold blood by Andhra Pradesh police.
In a statement here on Saturday, CPI (Maoist) spokesman Janardhan said the Sudershan had gone to Bangalore on some work. He was arrested by the Special Intelligence Branch with the help of the Karnataka police. Mr. Janardhan threatened that cadres would avenge the killing and warned that the ruling party leaders and police would face consequences for the `fake encounter killings'.
