Maoists kill abducted couple

HAZARIBAG: The CPI (Maoist) activists, who had kidnapped a couple at village Galhobar situated in the dense forests under the Bishnugarh police station of the district, killed them on Sunday night, police sources said here on Monday.

The couple, identified as Subodh Ravidas and his wife Kavita Devi, were kidnapped by four Maoists and taken to the nearby forest. When the couple did not return home till evening, villagers frantically searched them, but could not get any trace of the missing couple.

Later, villagers lodged an FIR with the Bishnugarh police station in this connection. The Bishnugarh police then launched a combing operation and recovered the bodies on Sunday night.
