Two Maoists killed in Orissa

MALKANGIRI: At least two Maoists were killed and two injured in a shootout with police in Orissa's Malkangiri district on Friday afternoon, officials said.
Acting on a tip-off, a special party of the local police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) raided a Maoist camp in a forest near the Motu police station in the afternoon where the rebels were holding a meeting, a senior district police official told IANS.
The Maoists opened fired on the party which retaliated and shot two ultras dead, leaving at least two injured, he said.
Police suspect the death of more Maoists in the shootout although only two bodies were recovered from the site, he said.
